Safe Harbor Thrift Shop & Donation Center allows us to provide all of Safe Harbor’s clients with clothes and shoes. From our group homes to our outreach programs to our rape crisis center, our Thrift Shop and Donation Center is vital to meeting their needs. Our clients receive vouchers which allows them to shop for free. In addition, Safe Harbor has partnered with Communities in Schools and Glynn Community Crisis (Amity House) to allow their clients in need to shop for free with vouchers. During the summer, our Thrift Shop is also utilized to train and teach our youth over 16 the soft and vocational skills they need to enter the workforce.
We love your donations! We accept new and gently-used clothing and shoes for all ages and sizes. We work with children from 0 to 18, so all sizes are appreciated. In addition, we are always in need of new underwear for victims of our Rape Crisis Center. Please make sure that your donations are clean and usable. We want our kids to feel good about themselves — even in hand-me-downs!
WE ARE NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! Come shop (or donate your items) during our store hours, Monday – Saturday, 11am to 2pm. All proceeds go to support the operating expenses of Safe Harbor’s seven programs.
Safe Harbor Thrift Shop and Donation Center is located at 1600 Norwich Street. Parking is available on the street or in the lot behind the building. No donations are accepted over the weekends. Please do not leave donations outside.
