Brunswick Business Community Rallies Around Families in Need This Thanksgiving

Imagine…What is it like to go to bed hungry? What is it like to tell your family that there is not enough food to go around? How do you feed a family of five when your paycheck is barely enough to cover the rent? These are questions many families in our community are wrestling with this Thanksgiving season.

For many, a Thanksgiving meal is simply not going to happen this year. But there is hope!

Beacon Risk Advisors and First Glynn Bank, along with several other local businesses, have teamed up with Safe Harbor Center’s Family Preservation program to provide Thanksgiving meals to local families significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Each family served will receive boxes full of ingredients and items containing all the traditional trimmings to take home and prepare for their family. However, We Need Your Help!

To support this effort, donations of nonperishable food items and ingredients from your favorite recipes can be donated at various Food Collection sites throughout Glynn County.
